Langford Village

Welcome to Langford Village CP School

Our Children Say:

  • There are nice teachers and
    we have special people that
    can help you learn more.
  • I like that it helps me learn
new things and I like school
    because I get to play
    with my friends.
  • I like learning about topics.
  • I like singing in the choir.
  • I think the school’s good
because we have a big field
    so we can do activities
    that take up a lot
    of space.
  • I like school dinners because
    they are healthy and
    there’s lots of choice.
  • I love maths because it's
    interesting and I like
    Literacy too; it's
    really fun.
  • I like Literacy because I love
    writing stories.
  • I like football at school
    because I played in the
    mixed boys and girls
    football team and
    won a competition!
  • We have really good teachers!
  • Science is very interesting
    and it makes sense because
we do it for a week. I like
    using the beebots, data
    loggers and making
    instruments!
  • I like Art because we have
    learnt new drawing,
    painting and sketching
    skills and have done
    clay modelling.
  • I like ICT because you can
    learn how to use computers
    properly, not just for
    playing games. You can
    also learn more things
    like power point and
    programming.

We are a large primary school on the edge of Bicester, Oxfordshire. We are a two form entry school and usually have approximately 500 children (full and part-time) on roll, aged 3 to 11, in 16 classes. The school was built in 1996 and extended in 2000 to provide a dedicated teaching block for KS2 and further work was carried out in 2009 to create additional work space in KS2.

Our vision and aims are intrinsic elements of every aspect of our school – revealed through our approach to teaching and learning, practical activities and the additional opportunities we use to enhance this. Our aim is to value each pupil, develop the whole child and encourage them to have limitless aspirations.

I hope you enjoy exploring our website and seeing some of the wonderful things we do.
